Scenarios of a United Kingdom nuclear attack; post-Maduro Venezuela; and USSOCOM on SOF exfiltration training.

A. The US SOF Delta Forces capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro (currently in New York City) involves exfiltration. A declassified USSOCOM manual from 2011 explains the training standards for US SOF exfiltration.

B. The second Trump administration’s targeted actions in Venezuela are against international law and the so-called rules-based order which is promoted by middle states like Australia. Of course, as Professor Emeritus Noam Chomsky often observed in the 1980s, the US is a hegemon in the anarchical international system (Hedley Bull) and so it can rule by a state of exception (Giorgio Agamben).
