President Donald Trump signals the United States' commitment to the trilateral AUKUS security compact.
A. The United States President Donald Trump and Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have met in person for the first time. President Trump has signalled the US commitment to the trilateral AUKUS security compact - after Under Secretary of War for Policy Elbridge Colby completed his AUKUS Review. I spent part of today going over the AUKUS literature to date - including discovering a 2022 thesis by Anna Karstensen-Krstich (Uppsala University) on the respective Australian and French emotional reactions to the AUKUS deal being announced in 2021.
