Jason Louv
Disinfo Books editor Jason Louv has left The Disinformation Company to focus on Ultraculture and other projects. For the past couple of years Louv has editied many of TDC's books including the visionary Generation Hex anthology [buy], one of the most alchemical projects we've released in the past five years. Check out his Blogger and Loudwire blogs, and a riveting interview with Viking Youth Power Hour.
I first corresponded with Louv when he began sending us some amazing material to publish at the Disinformation site. His insightful and witty interviews included Grant Morrison, Momus, Daniel Johnston and Poppy Z. Brite. These were a lot of fun to receive, and were an immediate hit with Disinformation's readership.
After writing a self-reflective piece on his experience with entheogens and altered states of consciousness, Louv embarked on initiatory travel for a year. He would send Disinfo's Richard Metzger and I dispatches from the Ganges and other wyrd places. Louv would later emphasize in Ultraculture the importance of making real changes in the real world, ones with physical manifestations.
I'm looking forward to Louv's new projects. And I won't ever listen to Primal Scream's XTRMNTR (2000) in the same way again.
